How is the Leather Cleaner properly applied?
- Wet the leather first with some warm water not hot
- Spray the leather cleaner in small areas at a time (Before starting test in a small inconspicuous and check for any changes in the leather or colour removal) Do not proceed if anything has changed
- Use a soft cloth or for heavily soiled leather use a soft bristle brush to apply the cleaner in small circular motions. If using a soft bristle brush check that there are no adverse reactions as some leathers are not pigmented properly and colour can be removed
-
Wipe off residue with a damp cloth, then allow to dry.
-
Once the leather is dry apply the conditioning cream sparingly and evenly with a cotton or microfiber cloth.
How often should I use this cleaner on leather furniture or accessories?
Clean before each conditioning session—typically every 4 to 6 months—or more often if leather is exposed to spills, body oils, or heavy use.
Can this cleaner help with mild stains or dye transfer?
It may help lift superficial stains, but for serious dye migration or stubborn stains, a specialised Dye Transfer Cleaner may be more effective.
Will the cleaner darken or harm the leather’s colour?
The products are designed to be gentle; in most cases, colour shift is zero unless the leather is old, worn or faded. Usually the leather looks lighter because the dirt has been removed.
Always test on an inconspicuous area first.
Can I skip the Cleaner and just apply the Conditioner?
No it’s not recommended. The conditioning cream works best on a clean, residue-free surface. Applying conditioner over dirt or wax may trap grime and degrade the finish over time.
Is this Combo safe for indoor use and family environments?
