FAQ’s
-
Why do I need swivel sliders for my chairs? If your chair legs flare out at an angle, a standard flat glide will only touch the floor on one edge. This concentrates the weight, causing floor scratches and making the glide prone to breaking off. The CB213 swivel base tilts to match the floor perfectly, distributing weight evenly and protecting your surfaces.
-
Are these suitable for Mid-Century Modern furniture? Absolutely. Mid-Century Modern chairs and tables frequently feature tapered, splayed legs. The 19mm CB213 is the ideal discreet solution for these designs, maintaining the aesthetic while providing professional-grade floor protection.
-
How do I install these on metal or timber legs? The CB213 is designed for a permanent screw-on attachment. For timber legs, simply pre-drill a small pilot hole and screw the foot into place. For hollow metal legs, they can often be adapted with an insert or by drilling into the base plate.
-
Can these be used on timber floors? These sliders feature a hard, super-slick plastic base optimized for tiles, grout lines, and carpet. If you have highly polished timber floors, we recommend using the Slipstick Felt range. However, for tiles and slate, these are the ultimate “no-snag” solution.
