FAQ’s
-
Why should I replace my standard plastic wheels with these rubber ones? Standard plastic wheels are notorious for picking up tiny pieces of grit and “sandpapering” your floorboards as they move. The CB680 rubber tread is soft enough to roll over surface debris without pressing it into the wood, ensuring your floor’s expensive polyurethane or oil finish remains pristine.
-
Will these fit my office chair or home furniture? The CB680 features the Australian standard 11mm (7/16”) diameter stem, which is the universal fitment for about 95% of office chairs and modern furniture bases. They are designed as a “plug-and-play” upgrade—simply pull out your old wheels and snap these in.
-
Are these safe for high-gloss tiles and Luxury Vinyl (LVP)? Yes. Unlike cheap rubber wheels that can “bleed” oils and stain light-colored floors, Slipstick’s specialised rubber compound is non-marking. It provides a silent, vibration-free glide that is perfect for high-gloss ceramic tiles, stone, and modern hybrid floors.
-
How much weight can a set of these wheels support? Each CB680 castor is rated to hold 36kg, giving a total set of five wheels a 180kg load capacity. This makes them suitable for heavy executive chairs and mobile storage units.
